    1. Kathleen E. Woodiwiss Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the The Reluctant Suitor book, this is one of the most wanted Kathleen E. Woodiwiss author readers around the world.

    2. Liked the many facets to this story. Look forward to reading another in the near future. Good tale, well told.

    3. For me, it was ok. I guess I got really spoiled with The Rose In Winter! Although Kathleen's other books are good too, this one just didn't "do" it for me. It just didn't have enough mystery or really anything much to it, I guess the title says it all. I gave it a shot even after I read the reviews because different strokes for different folks, but I just didn't like it as much.

    4. Kathleen Woodiwiss is a wonderful writer. I have enjoyed her books for years, however, I have trouble believing she wrote this book. First of all, please put down the thesaurus. Some of the word choices in the novel are ancient, and barely used in the English language. Secondly, the characters were not well drawn out. Woodiwiss is especially effective in this area, and the characters were not as vivid as in her better novels. I was disappointed with the overall reading experience. If you l [...]

    5. if Ms. Woodwiss actually wrote this I would be surprised. It is not anywhere near the quality of her other works. To put it simply it is the scraping from the bottom of the barrel.

    6. It is difficult to rate a romance when the author has great "5 star" talent as does Woodiwiss (see the Flame and the Flower, Shanna and the Wolf and the Dove as examples of her 5 star novels) but the story involved is not one that captures from the outset. I agree with other reviewers that the first 2/3rds of the book are a slow read and the characters perhaps less than you'd desire. In this Regency romance set in England in 1815, Col. Colton Wyndham, Lord Randwulf, a hero of Waterloo has just re [...]

    7. The story line was great, the information related to the courtship had no depth. The character of "Roger" could have been explored morede the main character look too naive, when she was actually a woman to admire, well-educated, strong and quick witted. The end of the book came about very quickly, whereas there could have been less said about the sexmetimes less is more. Thank you, I have read most of your books and admire the strength of your main characters. I believe you do a significant [...]
